Y'know, some people might question, why mourn over a comedian?
I'm not.
I'm mourning over a legend, and a lifestyle mentor.
Literally, he has left a major impression on the way that the government handles censorship, his comedy was well thought out, and brought you to question many things in life. Maybe not the most important things, but he definitely got people to question why things are the way they are. "Why is it, that we drive on a parkway... and park on a driveway?"
This man's way of thinking has been a massive influence on the way I live now. I will always remember his comedy specials being the highlight of my childhood home life. Seeing him on stage last year, not knowing he would go so soon, was one of the best moments of my life so far, just to see this man who has made such a great influence on how I look at things, and how frivolous everything can be--just to see him from like 40 feet away was amazing. Not because he's a celebrity, I have already gone through the disappointment of meeting a celebrity, they're just regular people. But Carlin was a provocative thinker, and a man of great comedic talent.
I will forever remember this man, almost as if he were another father, and I will probably spend the rest of the day listening to his comedy specials in his memory. He will be missed, but his mark has certainly been made on me.

Rest in peace.

hmm, that's only two weeks away o_o
yeah, he's the only comedian who can say that he had an affect on a supreme court ruling, I'd call that a legacy. XD
